About the Role

The Senior R&D Engineer will contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of modern web-based applications leveraging new and existing Ansys Structures technology. The Engineer will use advanced technical and problem-solving skills to help the team tackle complex issues and satisfy customer requirements. Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in planning, architecture, and research.
  • Performing complex development activities that require extensive analysis in areas including user experience and software design.
  • Maintaining best practices through technical reviews and mentoring.

About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • An MS in Engineering or Computer Science with 3 years experience, or a PhD with 1 year experience.
  • Good knowledge and experience with JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Familiarity with client-server architecture and development.
  • Experience with Web APIs (REST, gRPC, WebSocket, etc.) and commercial software development methodologies.
  • Ability to solve complex problems with innovative solutions.
