About the Role
LVI Associates is seeking a skilled SCADA Developer (Ignition Specialist) who will focus on developing SCADA systems using Ignition by Inductive Automation. The role emphasizes experience in SCADA development, data aggregation, analytics, and presentation, particularly with Ignition Perspective. Candidates should have hands-on experience with responsive web-based SCADA visualization, database management, and integration with industrial automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- SCADA Development in Ignition Perspective: Design and develop responsive and dynamic user interfaces leveraging HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
- Advanced UI/UX Design: Create mobile-friendly dashboards and interactive SCADA screens using Ignition's Perspective Module.
- Database Development: Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for reporting in PostgreSQL or MS SQL.
- Python Scripting: Automate workflows using Jython scripting and interact with protocols like MQTT and REST APIs.
- Event-Driven Programming: Implement message handlers and real-time data processing.
- System Integration & API Development: Develop REST APIs for interoperability with various systems.
- Data Aggregation & Visualization: Create dynamic data models for analytics and reporting dashboards.
- Performance Optimization: Enhance system performance through script and query optimization.
- Security & Access Control: Implement role-based access control and security practices in Ignition Perspective.
- System Deployment & Maintenance: Configure and maintain Ignition Gateways and Edge Devices.
About the Candidate
Expectations:
- Proven experience developing SCADA applications with Ignition Perspective and designing interactive views.
- Expertise in SQL (PostgreSQL or MS SQL) for data modeling and optimization.
- Strong Python (Jython) scripting skills and familiarity with MQTT, REST APIs, and OPC-UA.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Background in industrial data aggregation, large-scale SCADA deployment, and cloud integration.
- Familiarity with containerized Ignition deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
