About the Role

As a DevOps Specialist at Akkodis, you will be pivotal in the design, implementation, and operational management of intricate geospatial solutions. You will collaborate with development, architecture, and infrastructure teams to establish automations for environment creation and solution deployment. Your role also includes coaching developers in DevOps practices and ensuring the adoption of best practices to maintain solution sustainability.

About the Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A DEC or BAC in engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in CI/CD pipeline implementation and DevOps practices.
  • Professional proficiency in French, with functional English skills.
  • A strong sense of initiative and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Team collaboration skills, a proactive approach, and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile practices like Scrum and Kanban is also beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of various automations.
  • Analyze and design system components to be delivered.
  • Create and implement cloud architectures for Azure, following Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
  • Advance CI/CD tooling and support development team efficiency in its usage.
  • Share knowledge with system architects and developers acquired during assignments.
  • Occasionally coach less familiar developers on DevOps practices.

Technologies and Concepts to Master

As a DevOps specialist, you will work with:

  • Cloud platforms (primarily Microsoft Azure).
  • Container technologies (Docker, Podman, etc.).
  • Version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.).
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure Repos, etc.).
  • Artifact repository managers (Nexus, Artifactory, ACR).
  • Automation and orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps, ArgoCD).
  • Infrastructure-as-Code processes using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures is a plus.
