About the Role

We are seeking a skilled SCADA Developer with a strong focus on Ignition by Inductive Automation, specifically Ignition Perspective. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in SCADA system development, data aggregation, analytics, and presentation. While a background in control systems is beneficial, the primary emphasis is on Ignition Perspective development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with responsive web-based SCADA visualization, database management, and integration with industrial automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • SCADA Development in Ignition Perspective: Design and develop responsive and dynamic user interfaces using Ignition Perspective, leveraging themes and extending functionality with JavaScript.
  • Advanced UI/UX Design in Ignition: Create mobile-friendly dashboards, embedded views, and interactive SCADA screens with parameterized components using Ignition.
  • Database Query Development & Optimization: Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for dynamic dashboards and reporting in PostgreSQL or MS SQL.
  • Python Scripting for IoT & Automation: Automate workflows and process real-time data using Jython scripting, interacting with MQTT and REST APIs.
  • System Integration & API Development: Develop and consume REST APIs for interoperability with ERP systems and IoT devices.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience developing SCADA applications with Ignition Perspective.
  • Expertise in Ignition's Perspective Module, designing interactive views, and using Ignition's Expression Language.
  • Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL or MS SQL) for data modeling.
  • Strong background in Python (Jython) scripting within Ignition.
  • Experience integrating MQTT, REST APIs, and OPC-UA.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they interact within Ignition Perspective.
  • Knowledge of cloud integration and industrial IoT devices is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
