Join an exciting team within Global Information Security (GIS) at Bank of America. The Cyber Security Technology (CST) is a globally distributed team dedicated to cyber security innovation, architecture, engineering, and developing capabilities across various domains.
As a Vice President, Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will be integral to the team responsible for integrating security controls as code within our cloud platforms. You will collaborate across multiple teams, including DevOps, software engineering, and IT operations, to design and maintain robust security solutions that protect our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Threat Modeling & Risk Assessment: Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in cloud environments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Design & Implementation: Develop and integrate security controls as code across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure security and compliance.
- Build Controls: Automate security processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to embed security throughout the cloud lifecycle.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure cloud environments comply with internal control requirements and regulatory obligations, supported by robust reporting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps and IT teams to infuse security best practices into CI/CD pipelines.
About the Candidate
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
- Experience: Significant experience in cybersecurity with a focus on cloud security and integrating controls.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge and experience with cloud platforms and building cloud-native security tools.
- Programming & Scripting Skills: Proficiency in languages such as Python, Go, or Shell is essential for automation.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications like CISSP, CCSP, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar are preferred.
