About the Role

As a Backend Developer (w/m/d) for our E-Commerce platforms, you will be a central figure in the development and optimization of these platforms. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and optimizing backend functionalities for our platforms, continuously improving website performance, and driving initiatives for new plugins to attract customers. You will also troubleshoot and develop solutions for potential errors while working closely with our Frontend/UX and E-Commerce teams.

About the Candidate

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Expertise in the Shopify ecosystem and tools including Shopify Flows and APIs.
  • Proficient in programming in the Shopify programming language "Liquid".
  • Experience in developing custom Shopify apps based on customer requirements.
  • Strong understanding of E-Commerce principles including product management, inventory management, and payment gateways.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, PHP, JavaScript (React, Node.js), CSS.
  • Comprehensive understanding of backend web technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or Python, Symfony with experience in databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Proficient in both German and English at a C1 level.
