Mastercard is looking for a Data Engineer-1 to join their Advanced Analytics team within Mastercard Services. This role focuses on the technical design and development of an Analytic Foundation, which provides analytics and data models to enhance customer experiences. You will play a large role in implementing complex features, build and maintain analytics models, and drive innovative improvements to team development processes. Engineers work in flexible teams where every member has a say in feature design and development.
Position Responsibilities
- Implement complex features and build scalable applications.
- Ensure high-quality code by writing and reviewing performant code.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams.
- Develop an understanding of users and apply that knowledge to features.
About the Candidate (Expectations and Nice to Have Skills)
The ideal candidate should have:
- 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python or Scala with experience in cloud technologies like Databricks/AWS/Azure.
- Strong analytical skills and a customer-centric development mindset.
