About the Role

Do you enjoy working with a range of programming languages? You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on Front End Developer role at a scale-up tech company. The company enables smart matching for van drivers and consumers, via job-bidding and route optimization, established for 10 years with recent funding of £125 million.

As a Senior Front End Developer, you will collaborate within an Agile technology team to design, develop, troubleshoot, and solve complex software issues to help scale and future proof the business. The focus will be on front-end components using JavaScript and Vue.js, with exposure to a tech stack that includes TypeScript, Node.js, Java, Python, and some legacy PHP. You'll be encouraged to explore new technologies and use the best tool for the job as well as own your own DevOps and deployment responsibilities.

Location / Work From Home

The role includes a hybrid work model with three days a week in the Hammersmith office and two days working from home. In the office, you will have access to an onsite gym, barista coffee, and free breakfast.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Strong front-end JavaScript development skills
  • Experience with Vue.js, Angular, or React
  • A product-focused mentality with good business acumen
  • Knowledge of APIs and understanding of web development practices
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Full software development lifecycle experience, including CI/CD and testing
  • Experience in Agile teams and mentoring junior developers
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related tech discipline
