My client is seeking an experienced Java/Kotlin Developer (Fully Remote) with a strong background in Kafka. This position offers a salary of £55,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java and Kotlin.
- Implement Kafka-based solutions for building resilient, real-time data streaming applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Java, Kotlin, and Kafka development.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Java and Kotlin development, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Proficiency in Kafka for building distributed, real-time streaming applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
