About the Role
As Engineering Manager of the Zwift Mobile team, you'll lead a team of engineers to deliver great experiences for Zwift customers via the Zwift Companion mobile app on both iOS and Android. You will be responsible for your team's code quality, predictable and efficient delivery, and driving engineering best-practices like automated testing and maintainability. You will look for opportunities to incubate new ideas and help your team manage operational risks effectively.
What You’ll Do
- Work directly with engineers, product managers, UX designers, and stakeholders to scope, plan, and deliver projects.
- Partner with senior technical leaders to develop a technical strategy and product roadmap.
- Define and drive key performance metrics and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Build realistic agile project plans, proactively identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Identify and drive investments in improving quality and development efficiency.
- Build a strong engineering team through coaching, mentoring, and talent retention.
About the Candidate
Expectations and Nice to Have Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience and 3+ years of management experience.
- Strong expertise in native and cross-platform mobile development.
- Experience leading teams using agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices is a plus.
Salary and Benefits
The base salary for this position ranges between $128,000 to $204,000 based on individual qualifications and geographic location. Zwift offers a competitive benefits package including performance bonuses, equity, and comprehensive medical, financial, and other perks.
