About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a PHP Developer who loves clean, scalable code and wants to focus on true object-oriented PHP, not frameworks. This is a backend-heavy role ideal for someone who enjoys architecting systems from the ground up and wants a voice in technical decision-making.
You will be working on greenfield development, building new features and improving usability, performance, and scalability across the core platform.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building robust, scalable backend services in pure OOPHP
- Developing and optimising APIs, integrations, and internal tooling
- Collaborating with a close-knit tech team on architecture and system design
- Writing clean, maintainable code focusing on performance and readability
- Supporting ongoing enhancements and usability improvements
What You’ll Need
- Solid commercial experience with PHP, specifically object-oriented PHP without reliance on frameworks
- Strong understanding of LAMP stack development
- Proficiency in MySQL, RESTful APIs, and vanilla JavaScript
- Appreciation for clean architecture, SOLID principles, and design patterns
- Experience working in a collaborative, agile environment
