About the Role
Anson McCade is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to support a renowned European client's complex technology solutions and modernization projects. The selected candidate will work in a hybrid working environment that allows remote work options, and will be responsible for delivering enterprise-scale CI/CD solutions and enhancing DevOps maturity across client sectors.
Responsibilities
As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitLab CI/CD.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate infrastructure and configuration management via Terraform, Ansible, and related tools.
- Drive containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes, supporting modern application deployment.
- Monitor and maintain system health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, and the ELK Stack.
- Play a key role in cloud migration and optimization projects using Azure, with exposure to AWS and Google Cloud.
- Lead by example in scripting best practices (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and cloud-native automation.
- Support agile delivery teams with scalable, secure, and reliable DevOps solutions.
About the Candidate
A successful Azure DevOps Engineer will have:
- 3–7 years’ experience in a DevOps or platform engineering role.
- Strong command of Azure DevOps tooling and pipelines (YAML, ARM/Bicep, Git Repos, Boards).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automated deployments.
- Solid background in systems administration (Linux/Windows), networking, and server security.
- Deep knowledge of version control (Git, GitHub, GitLab) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset.
- Previous consulting or client-facing experience is a bonus.
