Responsibilities

  • Work closely with subject matter experts to understand data requirements and create workflows that support PCI automation objectives.
  • Design and develop processes to exchange data with external systems and components to be utilized in ETL programs and the front-end presentation layer.
  • Optimize workflows, orchestration, and code for maximum performance efficiency.
  • Utilize security best practices to ensure data and application security.
  • Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts.
  • Design and prototype data monitoring models for the pipeline.
  • Write technical documentation.

About the Candidate

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree (or higher) OR extensive experience as a Data Integration Engineer.
  • Extensive experience as a Data Integration engineer or in a similar Data Engineering role.
  • Hands-on experience with API development utilizing Java, Python, and potentially Node.js.
  • Knowledge of data structure and database concepts.
  • Experience with data processing and SQL databases.
  • Advanced SQL experience.
  • Experience with Relational Databases (RDBMS) and Non-Relational Database systems.
  • Experience in ETL applications implementation and understanding data warehousing/data modeling principles.
  • Familiarity with public clouds like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and developing applications in Linux environments.
  • Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Spark/Databricks in data processing and machine learning.
  • Practical experience in developing solutions on major cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Airflow for implementing data pipeline orchestrations.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Experience working in data warehouses and with technologies like Apache Kafka.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices.
  • Experience with Kimball or Data Vault methodologies.
  • Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT).
