About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Automation QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cyprus, Nicosia. We offer a hybrid work model with a mix of remote and on-site work at EPAM's office. In this role, you will focus on automated testing for web applications tailored for the insurance industry, playing a crucial part in delivering high-quality, reliable, and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts specifically targeted to test REST API integrations and services using Java and appropriate tools like REST Assured.
- Conduct functional testing to ensure that our back-end processes run seamlessly and meet client expectations, including tracing bugs and addressing issues.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to synchronize automated tests with the end-to-end development lifecycle processes.
- Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, and deployment.
- Constantly enhance your technical knowledge and skills by engaging in in-house and external courses, reading up-to-date material, and experimenting with new tools.
About the Candidate
Expectations:
- 5+ years of professional automation test engineering experience.
- 1+ year of relevant experience in a Lead role.
- Proficiency in tools like REST Assured for testing REST APIs.
- Solid Java coding skills.
- Robust understanding of functional testing methodologies with a specific focus on back-end services.
- Experience with CI/CD systems and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Fluent English skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Azure DevOps for managing the SDLC and coordinating software building and testing efforts.
