About the Role

The Windows Products team at Datadog is dedicated to delivering a best-in-class observability experience for Windows. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and build cutting-edge features to enhance the Datadog Agent for Windows and other Datadog products. You will be responsible for building Windows Agent-based integrations to support our customers’ monitoring and security needs across various environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and share ownership of Windows Agent-based integrations for system and security monitoring.
  • Build platform-specific features for Datadog Products, enhancing observability and security experiences on Windows.
  • Develop and maintain Windows Agent, including MSI Installers.
  • Lead new feature development from ideation to implementation.
  • Drive product decisions and collaborate on project priorities.
  • Investigate performance issues and optimize resource efficiency in software.

About the Candidate

  • You have 5+ years of experience building applications and tooling.
  • Significant experience in systems programming for Windows, with knowledge of the Windows API and OS internals.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages, including Golang, C/C++, or Python.
  • Experience with the Event Tracing for Windows (ETW) ecosystem.
  • Motivated to solve customer problems and create products that users love.

Bonus Points

  • You have experience with creating Windows drivers and MSI installers.
  • Experience developing cross-platform software, including knowledge of SDKs for macOS.
