About the Role
83zero is seeking a Databricks Data Engineer on a contract basis. This role offers a competitive day rate between £450 and £550. You will work in a hybrid model that involves remote work with two days per week in the London office. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in Data Engineering tasks utilizing Databricks, focusing on Spark programming with Scala, Python, and SQL.
- Ingest data and work with ETL/ELT frameworks within Azure Data Lake.
- Ensure Data Governance including Metadata management, Data Quality, and Access Models.
- Utilize Unity Catalog for Data Governance management; experience with alternatives is welcomed.
- Contribute to Data Architecture discussions when necessary.
About the Candidate
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, and experience in Databricks Spark and Pyspark.
- Proven experience in Capital Markets or Banking is a must.
- Ability to drive implementation and design solutions independently.
- Experience with MS Purview or similar tools is advantageous.
