About the Role

OPIA Associates has partnered with one of Germany's leading B2B platforms for sustainable mobility solutions, who is seeking 6 Senior Software Engineers to support their ongoing transformation!

In this role, you will be key in supporting a critical migration from PHP to Kotlin Microservices on AWS. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining modern software solutions in a service-oriented architecture.
  • Actively shaping the architecture, API landscape, and technical standards to develop scalable solutions.
  • Supporting the migration of legacy PHP codebases to Kotlin Microservices on AWS.
  • Ensuring clean code and testability, conducting code reviews, and promoting best practices within the team.

About the Candidate

Expectations and Nice to Have Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in Software Engineering.
  • Several years of professional experience in software development with a focus on Kotlin/Java.
  • A deep understanding of modern architectural design and domain-driven design.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services and experience with distributed systems.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
  • The ability to solve problems and balance technical excellence with business requirements.
